Other Features: We wish to welcome Shehroz Azmat to our gallery of handmade knives with this beautiful Persian period fighting knife. This Knife is inspired by the famous Persian knife the pesh-kabz originated in Safavid, Persia. The pesh-kabz is believed to have been created sometime in the 17th century to overcome the mail armor worn by mounted and foot soldiers of the day. This beautiful knife features Shehroz’s own spyrograph mosaic damascus blade made up of 1000 Layers of 1080 and 15N20 high carbon steel. It has been oiled quench to give it a Rockwell hardness of 60 HRC. The blade spine has been nicely embellished with beautiful filework. This piece also features a handle of water resistant Maple Burl that is meant for a large hand. The knife handle will accommodate even the largest hand and is finished to provide a wonderful ergonomic feel, like it is an extension of your hand. For a using knife, this piece is hard the beat, and it is exceptionally sharp as well. Te knife also includes a very unique arm band sheath which provides convenient access to the blade in the field. The sheath is handmade also by Shehroz. Shehroz is a very skilled, self taught craftsman and has provided very usable piece in this knife..
