It is the product of the collaborative efforts of both Joe Kious (Knifemaker) and Jon Robyn (Master engraver). This piece features exhibition grade lapis lazuli scales, incredible scenes of World War II planes, and stunning solid gold inlays. The blade steel is beautifully etched and polished Mike Norris Stainless Damascus. The lapis scales have been expertly shaped to fit perfectly within the confines of the interframe. The backspacer is beautifully fileworked which accents this piece very nicely. The locking mechanism is a terrfic midlock configuration that works great and locks up vault tight What a beautiful piece of knife art by by two well known craftsman in their field. This piece would be the pinnacle of any serious collection, and a very lucrative investment in fine art.
