Company Policies

Knife Warranties:

Most knife makers guarantee their work to be free from mechanical defects as long as they remain able to make knives. This does not include natural handle materials such as stag, bone, wood and pearl, which may shrink, crack or discolor with change in temperature, humidity or age. Please consult us before you purchase if you live in an area with extremely low or high humidity.   We can not be responsible for changes in natural handle materials such as bone, stag, , etc.

Complete customer satisfaction is our goal with every purchase made with us. Each knife is carefully inspected and securely packed prior to shipping. If there are any problems with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt.

Shipping Policies:

It is always our goal to provide your merchandise in the most expedient and secure manner possible.  To insure safe delivery of your merchandise, we recommend and employ only couriers with the best track record.  Our courier of choice for most orders is currently USPS.  With regard to insurance, each package that is shipped from our location for domestic orders, will by default not include insurance.  We will quote  you a shipping price with insurance and will always insure our packages for the full retail value at your request only.  To request insurance for you order, please contact us at 303-941-7142, or email us at bob_glassman@yahoo.com.  The insurance charge will be determined and quoted at that time.   If you wish to add insurance, your order will be adjusted to reflect that modification.  Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado can not be responsible for packages once they leave our facility.  These policies hold true for both domestic and international orders as well.

International Orders:

Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado can not be responsible for loss incurred for any reason due to international shipping restrictions from any courier, customs or regulatory agencies from any forwarding country or within the destination country. Hence, if the item(s) is/are lost in transport or seized, we can not provide a refund or credit toward other merchandise.  We will do everything within our power to assist in the recovery of items that have been stopped from transport.  If the items are permitted to return or pass after a seizure, it is the buyer’s responsibility to bare any additional shipping charges, service charges, or customs related fines that are incurred over and above the initial shipping quote.  Consult your local and/or countries customs restrictions before ordering if you are in doubt.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to discover and obey all applicable local, state, federal and international laws in regard to the possession, and or use, of any item purchased from Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado.  By placing an order, the buyer represents that they, he or she is of legal age and that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner. Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado assumes no responsibility for any harm or injury resulting from the sale, trade, use or handling of any product purchased from us.

Return Policy:

Items Purchased May Be Returned Within 3 Calendar Days For Refund Or Credit of Merchandise only, provided that the merchandise is in the same condition as sold.  There will be no exceptions to this policy. Prior authorization must be provided before a return can occur.  Therefore, please contact us at 303-941-7142 prior to attempting a return.  Phone authorization is required prior to return.   All items must be returned using Guaranteed 2nd day shipping or better with full insurance for the retail value of the item.  Signature confirmation is required.   All returns must be received within 5 days of authorization. All returns must be made to the return address on the package.  Failure to follow these instructions will result in a substantial delay in processing your return. Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado will not be responsible for accepting items for return under the following circumstances:

  1. An item is not directly delivered to one of our representatives during an authorized return.
  2. Returns that have been received after the return time frame (3 days)
  3. Any unauthorized returns
  4. Upon delivery of merchandise, customer verbally or in writing accepts merchandise as being satisfactory during follow up

Special Orders/Engraving Work:

All special orders and engraving work are covered under the maker’s warranty.  Special Order merchandise or engraving commissions are not covered under our 3-day return policy.  To ensure customer satisfaction, we will make every effort to work with you and the maker of your special order to resolve any issues of dissatisfaction.  Payment for special orders can be made by either Money Orders, Cashiers Check, Personal Check, Bank Wire Transfer or Western Union.

All returns covered under our 3-day return policy may be subject to a restocking fee of no less than 5%.  This policy will be evaluated on a case by case basis and is up to the sole discretion of management. Shipping is not refundable.
