| Other Features: After feverishly hunting for the right stag for this piece at the Las Vegas Classic Arms Show of this year, I finally came across what I believed to be just the right scales for my ideal of a great Loveless style boot knife. Then after several months of waiting, our postal carrier delivered the finished piece. from our friend in Brazil, Mr. Romano. I must admit that I have been holding back on listing this knife because of the knife lover in me. I simply love it !!!!! But, something inside says, "let it go. Let someone else enjoy it now". So, here it is. This full tang boot knife features a high polished ATS-34 blade and high polished 416 stainless pins. The handle scales are presentation grade sambar stag and the best we have found. It feels great in the hand when you grab hold of it. What a joy to examine and hold this knife, admire its grinds and shine. To top it all off, this piece comes equipped with a traditional style handmade cowhide sheath by the maker. It is very easy to see why Romano's knives have become so wildly popular. He is one of the hottest up and coming makers of fixed blade knives in the industry today. Getting one of his knives is very, very difficult. but our turn came up and here it is !!!. Considering what went into this piece and the final product, the price is quite reasonable. But, something inside says "I hope I can keep it..." |

We received this incredible piece directly from Mr. Romano at the Blade Show 2008 when we finally met face to face. What an exquisite piece of cutlery. The finish on the blade, hilt and stainless pins are second to none. The tapered tang is absolutely perfect. The stag scales are beautifully figured and feel great in the hand. Top this all off with a handmade cowhide sheath by the maker, and you have one terrific knife that would be right at home as either a working knife in the field or a beautiful addition to any custom knife collection. It is priced right as well . |
