| Other Features: Here is a very nice wharncliffe folder with loads of utility, fantastic stag scales, rectangular shield and great snap. The blade is razor sharp, the bolsters are nicely fluted and the backspring has a very clean finish. The finish work is very nice and the blade is perfectly centered as well. To top it all off, blade snap is just right and deployment is easy as well for a well balanced piece. This piece would make a terrific everyday carry. This all from a make that resides in Japan that seems to be turning heads these days with collectors in the U.S.. |

This knife is one of his stag teardrop wharncliffe folders specially made for us to our specifications. It is fantastic in fit, finish, blade center and spring. The blade size is just right, for just about any task one would ask a knife to do on a daily basis. The bolsters are expertly polished and all set for engraving if the owner so chooses. It is quite obvious that Mr. Ohta took great care to insure that this knife was not just well made, but as close to perfection as possible. When you look at the top slip joint makers and realize the quality that can be attained through great skill, then compare Hiroaki's work, you quickly realize what a true bargain you get when you purchase this maker's knives. |
