| Other Features: When Peter made this folder, he started out with the idea of making something a bit different. He definately succeeded at that. Along with the beauty that he put into this great knife, and the first rate materials which includes two different varieties of his own damascus, great color through nitre bluing and titanium liners; Peter also wanted to give this folder a little something extra. And he did with his own lever release mechanism along with manual one hand operation. The action is terrific, the lockup is just right and the fit and finish is where it needs to be. And most of all, it is fun and addicting to play with!!! What a great knife.. |

| Other Features: Peter Martin is known for his fantastic workmanship in the areas of both handmade sole authorship creations and also the creation of stunning damascus steel. This incredibly beautiful piece incorporates Pete's own assisted opening mechanism with great spring and just the right amount of tactile resistance for safety. The knife itself is an absolutely stunning work of artistic creativity. It incorporates gorgeous mother of pearl scales that have been expertly carved and stippled, magnificent nitre blued mosaic damascus blade that is a composite between two very different blade steels. The top of the blade shows beautiful and colorful butterflies. While the lower part is a pinwheel pattern with intricate lines. Wow, what incredible steel !!! The bolster steel is a very nice mosaic damascus that has been heat colored to a rustic brown color. Pete then inlaid 24K solid gold in the bolsters which add a fantastic degree of contrast. Boy does that gold stand out !!! If that were not enough, the titanium liners were first intricately fileworked in a vine pattern and then expertly anodized a bright gold for additional beauty. The blade spine is also fileworked nicely to match the liners. For an extra touch of beauty and utility, Pete then created a heat colored damascus pocket clip to add some functionality and additional flair as well. The finishing touch was made through the addition of a solid gold thumbstud inlaid with a champagne stone and solid gold screws holding the pearl in place. Boy oh boy, what a terrific piece. |
