| Additional Information: We wish to welcome Jerry Halfrich to our gallery of handmade knives. This piece is a wonderful reproduction of a Winchester pattern in a single blade "Back Pocket" configuration. It is number "5". It has very nice jigged black micarta scales with wide winged federal shield; nicely shaped drop point blade, and is razor sharp edge. The bolsters are domed and fluted as well. This piece also features a wide thong hole as well. The size, shape and weight of this lovely piece would make it a great using knife and everyday carry. The blade falls nicely in the handle right in the center of the liners as well. Although this piece has great utility and would handle just about any task that you could throw at it, it has a thin profile and would sit nicely in either a front or rear pants pocket. With regard to workmanship, the backspring and blade spine are nicely flushed when the blade has been deployed. This piece also features a great half stop, stainless pins, easy blade deployment with nice snap as well. What a great knife from a talented maker with great materials. What else could you ask for. Now, the price !!! |
