| Other Features: John Fitch or "Big John" as he is called is a well respected mastersmith from Arkansas. His work is well known by most collectors and his knives are highly sought after. This beautiful camp knife is a beautiful example of the quality that John produces. The handle material is beautiful ironwood in a hidden tang configuration. The single hilt has been nicely embellished with two spacers. And the carbon steel blade is beautifully forged and is razor sharp. For storage, John relied on the skill of master leather craftsman Kenny Rowe. Kenny produced a pouch style heavily tooled cowhide sheath for knife storage. This beautiful sheath has a large belt loop and is both functional and interesting to admire. What a great combination of strong cutting utility, impressive craftsmanship and fantastic materials. |
