| Other Features: We wish to welcome Don Cowles to our gallery of handmade knives with this beautiful heavily engraved mammoth tooth personal carry piece. This great little fixed blade features the beautiful engraving of Brian Hochstrat. Brian provided stunning bulino work of a mammoth head with solid gold highlights further embellished with arabesque scroll work. Very nice indeed !!! The blade steel of this lovely piedce is the very popular CPM 154 stainless steel. The bolsters are made from 416 stainless steel which is just right as an engravers canvas. The mammoth tooth is held to the frame with stainless pins. Don's final touch of class is a beautiful ruby with an 18K gold setting in the ricasso. Don also designed and fabricated a special gents carry sheath with both a pocket clip for either shirt or pants pocket carry, and a hidden magnet to keep the knife in place. What a terrific daily carry piece with great materials and very elegant style. Thank you Don and Brian for this beautiful addition to our gallery. |
