| Additional Information: This stunning example of Andre's skill at implementing an art folder is both a testament to the quality of his work and the extent to which he will go to execute a true work of elaborate one of a kind knife art. This rare, unique and gorgeous work features carved and cut mammoth ivory scales which reveal beautiful rainbow anodized, carved and fluted titanium that has been treated to match the configuration of the mammoth in such a way so that the colors of the titanium provide striking contrast to the creamy ivory which is the outer layer of the handle. The center piece of the presentation side of this knife is a beautiful gold sun which further enhances this beautiful piece. The handle is further enhanced with fluted & stippled stainless spacers which surround the beautiful mammoth ivory. The damascus bolsters of this piece have been expertly carved as a relief to the beautiful multi-mosaic blade steel. The backspacer and intricate lockback are fileworked, drilled and carved in an exquisite configuration that matches the fileworked liners perfectly as well. Beyond all of this extraordinary workmanship, this medium is still a knife and with this form, fit, finish, blade center and snap are absolutely perfect. Considering Andre' only makes 2 folders a year, this piece would definitely be considered extremely rare. This knife would make a great center piece to any serious folder collection and a fabulous conversation piece as well. |
